The funeral was at the O’Brien Funeral Home. 146 Dorchester st. Tuesday at 8.00 o’clock. Funeral High Mass at St. Augustine’s Church at 9:00 a.m. Relatives and friends were invited. Visiting hours were Monday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9.
Boy, 14, Suffers Fatal Burns at 225 Gold st. , South Boston, Massachusetts. A 14-year-old boy was fatally burned shortly before 7:30 Friday night when flames swept the top floor of a three- story apartment dwelling in South Boston. He was identified as Larry Shagoury, son of Mrs. Ruth Shagoury, of 225 Gold st. He was alone in the apartment when the fire broke out. The youngster’s body was found in a small bedroom. He was pronounced dead on arrival at Boston City Hospital. Cause of the fire was undetermined. ( A Defective Space Heater … per family tradition) Damage was estimated at $2000.
